In Vinkovci in the presence of Mayor Božo Galić, a workshop was held thematic working groups on forestry and wood industries in the drafting process of county development strategies.
Vukovar-Srijem County in May 2015 began production of County Development Strategy (CDS) for the period up to 2020. Law on Croatian Regional Development defines the key stakeholders and their role in the regional development of Croatia and accordingly, the regional coordinator of the preparation of County development strategy Agenci for development Vukovar-Srijem Hrast Ltd. in cooperation with local and regional stakeholders.
In September 2015, the Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds has adopted the guidelines for the preparation of county development strategies, where the methodology and describes the process of developing and preparing the individual parts of the County development strategy.
According to the methodology, phase ahead in the development of CDS includes defining the vision, goals, priorities and measures, and the development potential and needs of the county. Besides representatives Agency for development Vukovar- srijem county Hrast Ltd. and Vukovar- srijem county, on workshop was attended by representatives of the Wood Cluster Oak, Croatian Forests, CCC Vukovar, Faculty of Forestry, Croatian Forest Research Institute, the Center for lowland forests Croatian Forest Research Institute, Carpenter technical schools, City Otok, LAG Vjeverica, TINTL, Eco-system Ltd., Spačva Ltd., Šiška Ltd., Šišarka Ltd., Alpi-aviation Ltd., Špurga Ltd., Dom- parket Ltd. and others.
